Why Be Normal? The Twisted, Mutant, Pink Dolphins of the Amazon with Dr. Marie Trone, Professor of Biology at Valencia College.
Join Dr. Marie Trone for an engaging look at the most unique member of the dolphin family – the amazing Amazon River dolphin (Inia goeffrensis). This dolphin is truly pink in color and swims about in shallow freshwater. Many find this animal a bit ugly, hence its local Spanish name, bufeo. But this species is not ugly, just asymmetrical and very well adapted to its unusual environment. Discover some of these stunning adaptations as we explore this dolphin that is unlike all other dolphins!
