The Morpho ARIE program is a truly unique and incredible experience! Helping with research and seeing incredible biodiversity in the Amazon rainforest was amazing, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the people. The staff, scientists, and guides are absolutely outstanding. From the very beginning, they welcomed everyone with so much kindness and enthusiasm that it felt like joining a family. Everyone genuinely wants to help each other learn and have an incredible experience, and the passion for science, conservation, and education is contagious. Every day brought new adventures, fascinating wildlife, and opportunities to contribute to meaningful research while also learning about the local indigenous communities and issues. The guides have eagle eyes and could always find wildlife as we journeyed through the rainforest, and their great humor and concern for safety made the outings feel safe, educational, and fun. If you're looking for a program that combines authentic science, adventure, personal growth, and some of the most wonderful people you'll ever meet, ARIE is it!! I came home with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for the Amazon.

The Morpho Institute positively changed my life in so many ways. I had an incredible professional development experience in 2013 with the Morpho Institute in the Peruvian Amazon, and it remains one of the most meaningful learning opportunities I’ve ever had. The program was well organized and thoughtfully designed, blending immersive fieldwork with rich, hands-on learning in one of the most unique environments on Earth. The facilitators were knowledgeable, supportive, and deeply passionate about both conservation and education. The way that the Morpho Institute gets you to connect with the rain forest and the locals is really amazing. It is life changing and, in a sense, very magical. For many, it is a reuniting of human with nature. And the instructors that work in the program are experts in their field and inspiring. It is a great place to renew your passion for education and life!

Morpho helped me create a lifetime memory. I have experienced so many awesome things for the first time in my life, such as walking in the canopy at night, seeing new birds, animals, and trees, eating new foods, meeting some amazing people, and many more. Amazon will be in my heart forever.

Morpho provides educators with the complete experience! They partner with an ecotourism group that takes care of every detail so that you fully immerse in the Amazon rainforest in Peru. The faculty and staff that facilitate the workshops are not only experts in their fields, but kind and generous people that make you feel like you're on vacation and not at a professional development. I had such an amazing experience I went back for a second alumni trip just two years later. If you have the opportunity to take this trip - do it. They will help you through every step of preparation - from finding scholarships and funding to what to pack and the best flights to book!

An outstanding, immersive time in the Amazon Rainforest full of new and rich life experiences, an armfull of knowledge, quality collaborations with colleagues from across the country, laughs, and great workshops/discussions. The canopy walkway will take your breath away! Highly recommended, even by this English teacher who was surrounded by Science heavy-hitters and never felt out of place-- quite the opposite in fact! Go for it! (And the concept of cold water showers, latrines, and mosquito-netted beds-- plus the constant threat of rain-- SOUNDS far more intimidating than it actually is... no worries... and you will be fed WELL by the team).

This was an amazing experience. Learning about ecology of the Amazon rainforest in place was powerful. Our guides and faculty were terrific and incredibly knowledgeable. Learning about the Maijuna people and their way of life was a powerful experience.
